Do we need/want 4G? That was the question we faced with a recent laptop purchase. The 4G cellular broadband technology had just been unveiled in our area and our laptop manufacturer had just started offering a new Gobi broadband card with 4G LTE that week — it seemed like the wireless broadband stars had aligned. We were given a test laptop and one week to test and determine if we should go 4G.
