take part in this new and exciting challenge. All accepted and were eager to be part of the new rollout. Including a cross-section of users from different groups was important because it allowed for feedback representing differing viewpoints on how Office 2010 was being used and the challenges that it presented. The pilot group’s input has been critical to customization of our image and the training materials that would ultimately be used by the whole firm. BEST FRIENDS FOREVER . . . We continue to improve the process of this rollout, and we’re working out the bumps with careful determination and focus. Our pilot team will continue to expose any issues we need to address before we roll out Office 2010 to the rest of the firm. By recognizing and identifying potential obstacles that may surface during the pilot program, we can effectively plan for and eliminate these during the firmwide rollout. Listening to the pilot group’s needs, concerns and questions and processing users’ feedback on Office 2010 is also helping us build a stronger foundation for our larger rollout later this fall. Ultimately, this pilot project will allow us to make needed changes and finalize our project plan for a continued successful implementation and transition for all of Fish & Richardson. This careful planning will help keep us on track for migrating the entire firm to Office 2010 by the fall of 2010.
