For iPhone and iPad iAnnotate $9.99 Why we like it: Not only does iAnnotate allow for PDF annotation, it also supports annotating Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files as well as images. With a variety of markup tools to choose from, this app provides plenty of options for managing and working with documents on the iPad. For iPad Office2 HD $7.99 Why we like it: Supporting Word (.doc and .docx), Excel (.xls and .xlsx) and PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx), Office2 HD provides a feature-rich set of tools to tackle document editing on the iPad. Most of our firm's documents contain templates and macros available only from within Microsoft Office. Until the rumors of a Microsoft Office iPad app come to fruition, this app has best met the needs for our firm when making edits to documents while on the go. For iPad Notability $1.99 Why we like it: Notability combines handwriting, typing, PDF and image annotation, and audio recording into one simple, organized package.
