Her work focuses on translating emerging technologies into tools and workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining professional rigor and accountability. One of Kassi's most notable initiatives is ESI Flow, a generative AI-enabled Microsoft Word plugin she developed with Olga Mack to streamline the drafting of ESI Protocols and Protective Orders. Created in her personal time while maintaining a full- time legal practice, the tool demonstrates Kassi's commitment to building narrowly tailored AI solutions enhanced by subject matter expertise and structured data. Within King & Spalding, Kassi is leading a comprehensive generative AI ediscovery assessment initiative designed to evaluate AI tools through evidence-based testing and is an active member of the AI-focused working groups within the firm to facilitate AI integration. She has also developed AI workflow design process memos and training programs that help scale successful practices across the firm. In addition, Kassi secured pro bono access to advanced AI review technology through Relativity's Justice for Change program, expanding innovative legal technology to underserved communities. Beyond her firm, Kassi serves on the Sedona Conference Working Group 13 (AI & the Law) steering committee and is a member of the State Bar of Texas Law Practice Management Kassi Burns Counsel King & Spalding LINKEDIN / kassiburns/ committee.
