elcome to the 2023 Litigation Support Survey where we
evaluate your voting to provide an industry update. Who
are you? For those responding to the survey, you are in a
law firm with 100 – 499 attorneys. There are outliers for
smaller and larger firms, but about half of the respondents
are in that demographic. That jives with what we know about the general use of processes
and software to support litigation support. We generally hear from firms that are large
enough to have a litigation specialty team and leverage tools but not so large as to have
departments for those tasks.
I was looking forward to seeing how people wish to learn now that firms have returned
to the office in part or whole. Maintaining relevance and learning is a core tenant of a litigation
support professional. The survey results continue to illustrate that we consume content in a
variety of formats. In-person attendance at training sessions, conferences, and seminars has
recovered from remote-only options and equals that of webinars.
