About the Authors Cindy MacBean is Litigation Support Manager at Honigman LLP. Cindy is a highly-experienced Litigation Support professional who has recommended technology solutions to support discovery workflow to provide innovative, appropriate and cost-effective solutions in law firms, their clients and corporate legal staff. Cindy has utilized her business education and diverse experience to demonstrate excellence in solving problems, mitigating risk, providing tactical direction, overseeing operations, planning strategic initiatives, implementing solutions and supporting legal teams with the utmost commitment to customer service. In addition to her MBA in Technology Management, she maintains certifications in eDiscovery (CEDS), Information Governance (IGP) and US/Europe Privacy (CIPP/US, CIPP/E). Ann Halkett is the Director, SOLVED eDiscovery Services atAlexander, Holburn, Beaudin + Lang LLP. She joined Alexander Holburn in 2000 as a senior paralegal and has more than twenty years of experience. Ann became the Litigation Support Manager in 2014 and Director of eDiscovery Services in 2021. She advises and assists on a wide variety of litigation support systems and technologies including evidence management, electronic discovery and specialized databases and trial presentations. Monique Sever is a Paralegal and Litigation Support & eDiscovery Supervisor at Harper Grey LLP with a wide variety of litigation experience. In her role as the Litigation Support & eDiscovery Supervisor for the firm, she provides advice and support to assist with the firm's variety of litigation support software, as well as assisting with the collection of electronic data. Stephanie Mills is the Manager of Discovery Services at Cassels, Brock and Blackwell LLP. She has extensive experience in civil litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property law, aboriginal law, and class actions. Stephanie offers experience with the management of evidence as it pertains to discovery and trial preparation and frequently assists in such capacity with multiple-week hearings. A Certified eDiscovery Specialist sitting on the Board of Directors for the Toronto chapter of ACEDS, she also participates in several groups affiliated with litigation support and e-Discovery including ILTA, and Women in eDiscovery. She has been a law clerk since 2003. Mike Quartararo is the president of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), a global professional association that provides training and certification in e-discovery and related subjects. He is also the managing director of eDPM Advisory Services, a consulting firm meeting the emerging e-discovery, project management and legal technology needs of law firms, corporate legal departments and service provider organizations He is the author of the 2016 book Project Management in Electronic Discovery, which merges project management principles and best practices in electronic discovery.
