57 I L T A N E T . O R G 230+ IT leaders participated in the "Delivering Quality Projects" session I moderated (my passion is helping law firm technology projects successful by focusing on quality early in the planning!) Tony McKenna, Alan Reeson and Christine Becker shared their stories of good and bad quality, and their simple tips for anyone to help improve quality in their own law firms. The ILTA Annual Technology Survey committee, of which I am a member, delivered a preview / summary of the 2022 Tech Survey results – "Beyond the ILTA Annual Technology Survey – Solving Business Problems". It was fun to share highlights and our thoughts on the trends, with that all important focus of helping the legal ecosystem solve business problems (more on that later). When we wound up the week on Thursday evening, we were all tired and exhilarated and full of ideas and plans to go back to our organizations to make things better. We had actionable takeaways for planning budgets and IT strategies over the next few months. Planning for ILTACON 2023 Planning for each year's ILTACON begins as right after the last ILTA ends and in reality, long before that ILTA staff are working with the venue, always a few years ahead on organizing all the operational things that make ILTACON successful. Since August, The ILTACON co- chairs, team coordinators and ILTA staff are busily finalizing the conference committee and starting to collect topic ideas for ILTACON 2023. Speaking of which, anyone with session ideas can submit them to ILTA via this form: https://www.cognitoforms.com/ILTA1/ iltacon2023callforsessionideas As I mentioned earlier, ILTA sent out an invite for "enthusiastic and reliable ILTA members, business partners, associate participants or industry participants to help us organize, create and execute the vision for ILTA Conference 2023". It's been 20 years since I had that role and I thought it might be time to give back for everything ILTACON has done for me. I applied and was accepted. I am even more excited than I expected, anticipating the fun and engagement of joining other ILTA members and business partners to help develop the session ideas and provide input/feedback to help shape the path of the conference. My company is signing up as a Platinum Sponsor again for 2023. That means we will be exhibiting at ILTACON. We have plans to continue our mission of maturing quality in the legal industry with ILTA, ILTACON and ILTACON Europe factoring largely into that endeavor. I know whatever happens, ILTACON 2023 will be another great experience that will make everyone who attends that much better!! ILTA's Annual Technology Survey ILTA's annual Technology Survey is the be all and end all resource that helps multitudes of people in the legal ecosystem "Do the Right Things" and "Do Things Right" IMHO. For as long as I can remember, the law firms I worked with completed the survey and I have poured over the results every year. In late 2019 I was asked to join the ILTA Tech Survey committee. I learned just how much time is spent each year dissecting the previous year's results, adjusting questions for clarity, writing new questions and debating when to remove less relevant questions. (For more on how the Tech Survey is put together, see my column from the Spring 2022 Peer to Peer. In the session the Tech Survey committee delivered at ILTACON 2022, we shared themes from the 2022 Survey, provided actionable takeaways and gave the first access to the Executive Summary of the Survey. We told stories of how the Survey has helped answer specific business problems. Jim McCue shared how he
