The speakers gave us context for the current threats in Cybersecurity and a reminder that 39% of businesses have reported cyber-attacks in the past 17 months. • "Performing Under Pressure" was the perfect last interactive session of the day. Dr. Rob Archer gave us strategies for recovering from stressful situations and times of peak performance the way top athletes do. We worked through scenarios with our neighbors, reinforcing the principles around not feeling entitled to recovery, recognizing when we go from good stress to chronic stress and burn-out, and a reminder that multi-tasking causes inefficiency, reduces accuracy and increases time to completion. As we closed out ILTACON Europe, there was a lot of chatter around what ILTACON Europe 2023 will be. I can't wait to hear and hope to be able to head over the pond to participate. ILTACON 2022 – National Harbor, MD For the first 100% In person ILTACON since 2019, the 2022 ILTACON had all the takeaways: amazing education sessions built by people across the legal ecosystem, wonderful connections with ILTA members and business partners, a busy and focused exhibit hall with lots of buyers and sellers getting business done, and all the energy to apply to solving problems after the conference. There were sessions on Doing the Right Things: analyzing the problem you are trying to solve, confirming what you need to solve the problem (requirements), evaluating solutions, and assessing the risks of those proposed solutions. There were sessions on Doing Things Right: project planning, implementing solutions, change management and adoption, measuring success and reporting. I attended a session in every timeslot during the conference and was not disappointed in any. The G100 and the G200 CIOs shared the issues they had discussed in their meetings, showing us that we all have the same concerns and can do better when we talk about them together. Beyond all the technology and business problem solving sessions, there were myriad sessions to help us individually grow and develop professionally. Why that's so important for that to be a part of ILTACON is that we have a shared experience and the people who deliver those sessions know the legal technology world we live in and make them deeply relevant and valuable for us. Everyone I talked with at ILTACON was grateful to be able to be together in person. We met old friends and made new ones, with lots of time to talk and share at meals and networking events, and to discuss what we learned in the sessions.
