Brave New ILTAns: We are preparing for a future which will include physical and virtual events. This year demonstrated social interactions can still occur in a digital space. Two events that highlight this are the most recent ILTA Europe virtual social sponsored by Net Motion and the Afternoon Tea and AI event for law firms in Ireland. The virtual winter social featured updates from our member firm Shearman and Sterling LLP as well as a special performance from ILTA Europe volunteers (who featured in a special edition of UK quiz show, The Weakest Link ) ILTA, ILTA, read all about it! We launched 'Fresh Voices' a podcast series for young professionals earlier this year. Fresh Voices helps ILTA connect with professionals with less than five years' experience in legal technology roles. Interviewees shared on building networks in the professional services network, developing market intelligence and learning new technologies in a fast changing market. A tale of two cities: ILTA's new strategic plan signals the organisation's intentions to partner more with similar minded third parties and stakeholders. ILTA Europe took a step in this direction by joining industry partners to support the delivery of 'Legal Accelerators' virtual conference. The conference featured conversations on the future of innovation in legal and an increasing need for law firms to invest in business support staff. ILTA Europe staff member Mercedes Brown shared some ideas on innovation culture and the future of intelligence. ILTA board member Ginevra Saylor spoke about practical innovation tips and strategies for lawyers. A recurring theme among speakers (from different parts of Europe ) was a desire to encourage cross collaboration in the entire firm, speakers called for firms to apply transdisciplinary thinking to M E M B E R R E S O U R C E S International Collaboration is Critical to Global Success by Mercedes Brown
