technology projects. Developments in Competition Law and Digital
Markets featured heavily in conversations towards the end of the
conference. This is for the most part due to industry speculation
on exactly how the EU's Digital Services Act set to be passed by
December 2020 will affect the market. Questions around this
include – will the Act level the playing field for new entrants to the
market? Is there or will there be more opportunities for law firms?
What does this mean for established platforms?
Despite a challenging year we are glad to see firms collaborating
more with peers in Europe, ILTA Europe reports a similar trend
between member firms and business partners including:
• Members from BCLP and Gowling WLG updated peers
on progress with low code projects they have worked on
with Mendix
• HFW collaborated with BT to deliver education on
information security best practice for legal based on their
internal projects this year
What's next?
ILTA Europe is recruiting for 2021 regional volunteer to drive what
we hope will be better conversations and stronger professional
relationships to inspire excellence. ILTA
