The next image illustrates the "Same" option which identify what is identical between
the two file locations:
From any of these options it is possible to copy, delete, move or create folders. There is
also a synchronize option which can mirror one side to another. On the left side – there is
a folder and a document that is not present on the left. I can use the "Synchronize>Mirror
to left" function to mirror the two file locations:
Common Uses of Beyond Compare are:
• Copying and moving data from one area to another
(networks, FTP, removable media, remote servers
etc.)
• Archiving large volumes of data from network drives
to hard drives
• An unzipping tool
• Exporting a list of the documents in a location (down
to the last sub-sub-sub folder)
