COMPARE AND COPY TOOL
Let's face it, a lot of our time is spent moving data from area "A" to area "B". Sure, you can use the cut, copy and or paste functions inside of your operating system of
choice – but have you ever had that fail on you? How can you make sure you really got everything – including the hidden items?
Beyond Compare can ease your worries.
Not only can it move, copy and delete data – it can
also compare the documents and folder structure
between area "A" and area "B". It displays two
locations side by side for easy comparison. If you are
moving data from a USB, client's computer, a zip file
– it will track the progress of the move and compare
them after to assure you that either the contents in
area A and B are the same or alert you that there are
differences. If there are changes made to area "A" –
you can synchronize the changes between the two
sides instead of deleting and re copying the data. It
is also a great unzipping tool if your unzipping tool
keeps failing you. As a bonus – it does not alter the
date metadata when copying files. Super important
for those precious date last modified fields.

side by side to compare the contents. In this first
image, the "All" option has been selected. This
shows the entire file contents of both locations:
