from the president E Email, documents, spreadsheets, websites, newsfeeds, e-groups, blogs, tweets, Facebook posts, calendar invites … the list of data types goes on and on. Much of what we do in our lives (ILTA and otherwise) focuses on the management of information that is critical to keeping us successful at work, collaborative in our social circles, effective in our volunteer activities and just plain "on top of things." But as we find more data in our lives, we can become overwhelmed easily, spending more time managing the volumes than actually consuming them. Data Management: As our need for data changes, those delivering information must always be one step ahead to provide it effectively; otherwise, even the most valuable data can be lost or overlooked. Considering the vast data store that is housed by ILTA and the incredible amount of information that is exchanged via our e-groups and blogs, we're continually looking to improve the delivery and consumption of content. We're soon launching an investigative phase of what we've dubbed "EKSPert" (Enhanced Knowledge-Sharing Platform), and we'll be reaching out to our members for input in a variety of ways. Stay tuned! Programming Management: As you can imagine, with the extensive programming and networking we provide, there's lots of information to manage behind the scenes. Our volunteer officers meet in person twice each year to discuss the most effective ways to deliver information in its various forms (webinars, conferences, regional events, symposiums, etc.). In fact, we meet this month to discuss this important issue. We always welcome feedback from our members, so feel free to reach out to any of our officers (listed in this magazine) to share your input. ILTA Board Elections: And one more piece of data for you: Our biennial Board of Directors election is in progress. We encourage you to reach out to your firm's or law department's voting member, and remind them to vote. We have an incredible slate of candidates ready and willing to serve on ILTA's Board, and your organization's vote is important.
