10 About the authors David Carns David Carns is a recovering attorney with a lifelong passion for technolo and its advancements. He has regularly written and taught on the topic of legal technolo and eDiscovery. Today, Carns is the Chief Revenue Officer at Casepoint, a legal technolo company. He joined Casepoint as a Director of Client Services in 2010, rose the ranks to Executive Vice President and Chief Strate Officer, until his most recent promotion in 2019. Prior to joining Casepoint, he has professional experience on the client-side of the Casepoint application in his previous positions. David Carns' previous positions include Director of Practice Technolo at Crowell & Moring LLP, an AM LAW 100 firm. Carns holds a Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School. Today, as an eDiscovery thought leader, David drives global strate with foresight towards the challenges and disruptions awaiting legal technolo. David is very well-versed in eDiscovery solutions and attuned to state- of-the-art technolo in the field. Eric Mosca Eric Mosca, Director of Operations for InOutsource, has more than 17 years of experience in new business intake, conflicts of interest management and information governance consulting. InOutsource is a leading consulting firm dedicated to resolving the unique challenges faced by law firms by streamlining processes, implementing technolo, and transforming data assets into actionable insights to improve performance. Prior to joining the InOutsource leadership team, Eric held several roles in law firm operations. Eric is a Certified Records Manager (CRM), a frequent contributor to well-known legal publications, and a regular speaker at conferences, webinars and workshops including ILTACON. Anthony Widdop Anthony Widdop is Global Director, Legal Project Management at Shearman & Sterling. He leads a global program and team which is committed to embedding project management, technolo and process solutions to benefit the firm's people and its clients. He is an experienced management consultant who has delivered global change projects across the legal, banking, insurance, oil and gas and mining sectors. Darrell Mervau Darrell Mervau is a co-founder and president of FileTrail Inc., a global leader in records management and information governance, where he provides the vision and overseas product strategies that have propelled FileTrail to its current market leadership position. Having spent his entire career in the field of information management and governance, Mervau previously held executive roles with two different start-up companies and was instrumental in their early growth and successful sale.
