LITIGATION AND PRACTICE SUPPORT WWW.ILTANET.ORG | ILTA WHITE PAPER 56 » The vendor will make consolidation worth your while financially with progressive discounts, price lock-ins to protect you in the event you grow and other incentives. » The vendor is willing to pony up senior account management resources with sufficient knowledge and clout to understand all the technical aspects of your consolidation arrangement and to advocate appropriately for you within the vendor's organization. A Big Return The answers to the questions posed will help you determine if vendor consolidation is right for you. Vendor consolidation is about trust –– on both sides. When a vendor is pitching consolidation to you, it means the vendor is willing to assume the risk of concentrating more revenue in your organization. When you consolidate, you are trusting the vendor with more of your money, and, most important, more of your credibility with your lawyers. When you look at consolidation, focus on vendors you can trust, and then be transparent with them. You may find you get lots in return.
