Calling All Passengers: Your KM Journey Awaits team, identify the matters that are most on-point to demonstrate the firm's abilities and provide benchmarks to predict potential costs with a fair degree of confidence. Once the engagement letter is signed, it is time to execute the matter as efficiently as possible to achieve the right results. Finding the past representative matters that relate to the new work through the experience system provides the team with a ready-made collection of documents to jumpstart the drafting and research efforts. Searching the experience system when issues arise during the course of the matter can yield a group of resident experts who have been there and done that, providing valuable, time-saving advice. When the deal is closed or the verdict is in, the last and often overlooked step is to capture the wealth of valuable wisdom that was gained along the way.
