What happened to the first half of the year? If you're anything like me, juggling projects
and leading change, August has arrived too soon. Things are moving quickly at ILTA, too, and I'll
share some highlights with you:
Strategic Plan: Like every organization, we are faced with challenges in the decades
ahead; and the Board of Directors recently completed a strategic plan that sets our priorities into
2016. As ever, delivering deep value for your membership dollars means providing education and
networking opportunities that are timely and relevant. Your success is our success, and we're
looking to evolve our volunteer structure in response to our rapidly changing landscape.
Programming Successes Past, Present and Future: By the time this magazine hits your
desk, we will have delivered our annual SharePoint Symposium and LegalSEC Summit in Chicago.
The content and networking opportunities were of great value to professionals whose focus lies
in those areas. The "big kahuna" event is ahead of us, of course; and I'm hopeful to see you at
ILTA 2013: Imagine.
Law2020: Future Horizons: It's been rewarding to follow the path of our Law2020
initiative, now celebrating its fourth anniversary with this edition of our magazine. Our eyes
must be looking beyond the horizon to anticipate and plan for our ever-changing landscape.
I'm happy to be part of a group that provides excellent resources and support to navigate the
choppy waters.
