MEMBER RESOURCES from the president A s we move into the summer months, I am reminded of the theme of this year’s annual conference: rev-elation — noun • the momentum that will move us into a new era — a time of renewed vigor and creativity; • a time to look ahead with newfound knowledge and develop new strategies for success. This year’s conference, to be held at the newly renovated Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, will deliver over 200 engaging educational sessions delivered by over 300 volunteer speakers, an exhibit hall packed with premier legal technology vendors and, of course, the opportunity to network and reconnect with our peers— renewed vigor indeed! A slate of sessions will tie directly to Law2020™, ILTA’s multi-year, multiplatform educational initiative focusing on the ways in which law firms will have to adapt in order to thrive over the next decade, and how the skills, leadership and technologies we offer will allow firms to succeed and grow in this changing environment. We have forward momentum within our leadership ranks, too. Many of our volunteer leaders met for the annual officer’s meeting over a recent weekend in Nashville. All officers had the opportunity to engage in the strategic planning process that the Board began last November, a process that will guide the association’s journey over the next few years.
