Associates need to be AI-fluent to increase effectiveness and insight Associates stand to gain the most from AI that helps streamline labor- and document-intensive parts of litigation, including: • Streamlining document intake and analysis to identify relevant materials, summarize themes, and flag inconsistencies, helping associates rapidly assess and prioritize large data sets. • Automatically generating deposition and transcript summaries, tagging key issues, linking exhibits, and tying testimony to evidence, all in seconds rather than hours. • Integrating systems that speed creation of case chronologies, billing narratives, and draft deliverables while preserving oversight and accuracy. AI OPTIMIZATION FOR PARALEGALS AND LITIGATION SUPPORT STAFF Paralegals and litigation support professionals are often at the forefront of workflow efficiency and optimization. Keeping up with the latest AI advancements will help them: • Convert manual deposition summary efforts (which can take several hours) into minutes-long tasks using AI- enabled transcript review and summary generation. • Support the creation and management of deposition designations, annotations, syncing video clips, and exporting reports, all while maintaining version control and accuracy. • Centralize evidence management via AI-assisted tagging, summarization, and foldering, streamlining workflows and ensuring consistency across cases. Additionally, paralegals often serve as early AI "power users" whose successful experiences can catalyze broader adoption across the team.
