Jeffrey Chivers Chief Executive Officer Syllo J effrey Chivers, a seasoned litigator w i t h a b a c k g r o u n d i n c o m p u t e r science, identified a critical need for a unified platform that would better enable litigators and litigation teams to master the facts of their cases, craft strategy, and achieve the best outcomes for their clients. Leveraging advancements in generative AI, he co-founded Syllo in 2019 to fulfill this vision. Collaborating with his co-founder and a team of engineers, Jeffrey dedicated five years to developing a robust platform integrating eDiscovery, case management, workflow automation, discovery m a n a ge m e n t , l e g a l k n o w l e d ge m a n a ge m e n t , a n d w o r k p ro d u c t g e n e r a t i o n . T h i s p l a t fo r m empowers attorneys to manage cases, conduct factual investigations, and generate work products with centralized data and seamlessly integrated applications, enhancing workflow efficiency. Syllo's agentic AI document tagging solution, which automates first-level document review by applying issue codes to documents, was spearheaded by Jeffrey and developed under the guidance of Professor Jamie Callan from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science. Syllo's team devised an agentic AI system that leveraged LLMs to tag documents with numerous issue codes while optimizing computational resources.
