Doug Caddell Retired (formerly with) Mayer Brown LLP D oug Caddell, most recently Global CIO with Mayer Brown LLP, dedicated over 40 years to enhancing technologies, business processes, and leadership models within the legal industry. His journey commenced after six years in the Navy, leading to various officer and volunteer roles, including significant contributions to ILTA. Doug's approach to delivering value is multifaceted, encompassing a deep understanding of business and client needs, maintaining and transforming business operations, evolving beyond mere technology provision to becoming a business innovator, building exceptional technology teams, challenging the status quo, and fostering continuous improvement and transformation. Rooted in servant leadership, Doug's success is grounded in his focus on personal and professional growth. As CIO at his first law firm in the 90s, he championed using PCs for lawyers, overcoming resistance through peer education. His advocacy for legal technology began in the mid-90s, with notable engagements such as the Law Firm CIO Leadership Forum in San Francisco in 1998. During his tenure at Foley & Lardner, Doug pioneered the C.A.R.E. customer service program, emphasizing customer care, reliability, and effective systems.
