David's primary goal in advancing legal technology and technologists is ensuring that everyone is included. Legal technology can be challenging to understand. Whether hosting continuing legal education classes and presentations, writing articles, or releasing his annual e-book, David strives to give everyone a seat at the table. He believes that all legal tech professionals bring different skills and experience to the table. David chooses topics and cases for discussion that resonate with people in various roles. He understands that legal technology can be expensive for some firms and inclusivity is virtually impossible if what you do is too costly for many professionals. A prolific author, David has written articles or been quoted in them over 1,000 times. As reporter and assistant editor at The National Law Journal, then staffer and contributor at Legaltech News, David wrote hundreds of articles. Since joining Relativity nine years ago, he has written 125 articles for The Relativity Blog, as well as articles for other publications. David's work has been cited by general news organizations, like The Wall Street Journal, American Public Media's Marketplace, TechRepublic, and The Washington Examiner. There are few higher honors a lawyer can receive than authoring or being cited in an academic law review article. David is the author or co-author of three law review articles. He has been cited 24 times in law reviews, including those of Emory University, the University of Florida, New York University, Northwestern University, the University of Texas, Yale University, and others.
