Philip Bryce Global Chief Knowledge Officer Mayer Brown LLP P hilip was one of the first full-time, s t r a te g i c k n o w l e d g e m a n a g e m e n t leaders at a large U.S. law firm. His role a s K n o w l e d ge R e s o u rc e s M a n a ge r at Debevoise and Plimpton began in 1999. Since then, Philip has served as a KM leader at large law firms, including W h i te & C a s e ( 2 0 0 4 - 2 0 1 5 ) a n d M a y e r B ro w n (2015-present). He is a passionate and intelligent leader who advocates for efficiency and innovation. Philip refines concepts around enterprise search, m a t t e r p r o f i l i n g a n d o t h e r d a t a c a p t u r e , t h e processing and storage of electronic closing sets, precedent libraries, law firm referral systems, and other KM-related approaches and tools. He began as a KM professional at Debevoise & Plimpton before lawyers at law firms used computers and was one of the individuals at White & Case LLP with key input about the development and improvement of that Firm's deployment of enterprise search. He helped both firms deploy "Knowledge Bank" precedent systems that make good use of existing technology, including a "filter by folder" functionality. At Mayer Brown, Philip helped lead the development of a U.S. Commercial Litigation Process Map.
