A s Sheppard Mullin's Senior eDiscovery Project Manager, Lauren Doucette manages the eDiscovery needs for the San Diego and Del Mar offices. She administers machine learning projects across all litigation practices and consults case teams on discovery issues like providing testimony in support of discovery motions, negotiating ESI protocols and search parameters, and advising on eDiscovery strategy. Lauren practices professionalism by showing others respect, even when it is challenging, stressful, or time-consuming. She serves as a board or committee member for several legal professional organizations and volunteers for groups like San Diego ESI Forum, Women in eDiscovery, USD Paralegal Advisory Committee, and FEW - a San Diego network of influential women in legal who mentor other women beginning their careers. She is on the Steering Committee for the San Diego ESI Forum. She started a mentorship program in the San Diego area that matched newly graduated law school students, IT undergraduates, and paralegals with experienced eDiscovery mentors. Lauren facilitates conversations around career choices and planning, certifications and educational requirements, and soft skills needed for success in the legal tech sector.
