Recruit power users as content creators to develop mini-assignments based on typical scenarios that require the use of technology tools. Content creators will play a critical role in shaping the training by providing input on design and contributing their experience using the tools in real-life settings. Power users can be recruited on a rolling basis to develop new mini-assignments or refresh existing mini- assignments, so the content is constantly renewed, and more users are engaged. Play It Back as if for the First Time. Tap into the content creator's expertise. The mini-assignments should lay out the content creator's thought process, making explicit the tacit knowledge inside their heads, including, for example: Context for the assignment Describe how this scenario comes up and why it is important. Step-by-step approach Define the problem, describe how technology tools are used, identify other available resources, specify the deliverable. Practice tips Point out red flags to watch out for.
