The emergence of legal technologists represents a transformative shift in the legal landscape, harmonizing the traditional practice of law with technology's innovative potential. As AI, LLMs, and other cutting-edge solutions continue to reshape the delivery of legal services, these new voices are poised to orchestrate a symphony of progress, driving efficiency, accessibility, and inclusivity within the justice system. However, legal and regulatory hurdles, cultural resistance, and financial constraints challenge embracing these innovations. Overcoming these obstacles requires collaboration, open dialogues, education, and regulatory cooperation across the entire legal community. Integrating DEI efforts with client needs will be pivotal for legal success. Building a supportive legal community that champions equity and inclusion will enable legal technology to drive positive change and set new industry standards. The symphony of legal innovation is just beginning, and the emergence of legal technologists represents a harmonious convergence of expertise and ingenuity. By embracing these new voices and empowering the next generation of legal innovators, the legal profession can usher in an era of unprecedented progress that resonates with the enduring principles of justice, accessibility, and inclusivity. ILTA Mari Sun is a legal fellow at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), where she collaborates with member states to promote respect for intellectual property. Prior to joining WIPO, she served as a law clerk for Judge Julien Xavier Neals in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mari draws on her previous experience at BRYTER, where she developed innovative legal tech solutions for law firms and in- house corporate counsel. She provides technical assistance to WIPO member states in IP enforcement. Mari is an active ILTA volunteer who serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. ILTA DEI Committee Statement The ILTA DEI Committee (DEIC) has been and continues to be committed to fostering an environment of inclusivity and equity within our ILTA community. The DEIC is making significant efforts to expand its reach and encourage members from all backgrounds to join us on this journey. Through our efforts, we hope to become a beacon for the community and shine a light on the stories and voices of all global members. He provides expertise in planning and budgeting, internal investigations, class actions, recalls, and information governance. Additionally, Canaan has negotiated to narrow subpoena requests in government investigations and large-scale mergers and acquisitions. As a frontrunner in utilizing technology in the practice of law, he has employed artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to narrow the scope of review. Canaan serves on ILTA's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee as well as Consilio's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
