O R G • In early October, we will interview and select Session Coordinators for 2024. • In November, we will solicit session ideas from the entire ILTA Community (we received 329 ideas last year for 84 sessions). • In December, teams will begin reviewing the session ideas and discussing them with their teams. • In January and February, teams cull down their ideas to 12 sessions per team. • In March, the teams develop the sessions and create speaker profiles. • Speaker applications open in March/April and we try to have all speakers selected by the end of June. • During the summer, ILTACON education teams continue to meet, and coordinators begin meeting with their speakers on a regular basis. • By the beginning of August, speaking teams are ready to roll. In August, they do their dry runs, submit any polls, and send their PowerPoint presentations to the ILTA Even Education staff. There are also weekly ILTA staff meetings, weekly Co-Chair meetings, monthly Team Coordinator meetings, and many other meetings and discussions that make the magic happen. I guess I'll have to change my metaphor for next year—I can't wait to watch our fabulous volunteers, staff, and speakers make beautiful music together. Regardless of the metaphor, it is such a true joy to watch as dozens of strangers come together to make ILTACON the premier educational and networking event for the legal sector.
