W
hen Frost Brown Todd (FBT)
launched an experience
database firm-wide in
December 2022, it was the
result of six months of hard
work. We had implemented Foundation in less than sixty
days, consolidating firm data from our financial, intake, and
HR systems. Then we gathered more than 1000 narratives,
data about 200 trials and 300 bond deals, and connected
litigation data from an external feed. We then conducted
pilots with three practice groups to capture matter details
and rich descriptions from our lawyers for the first time.
With the leadership of Casey Rauschenberg, our
Experience Manager, and Cindy Bare, Chief Data and
Innovation Officer, we were making great progress. Casey
had been working closely with firm leaders to present
Foundation to practice groups and industry teams. Cindy
had recently presented to the partner retreat about how
Foundation supported our client work and go to market
strategy. We were creating a strong sponsor coalition in
support of the new experience platform and knowledge
about the ways in which it provides value to the firm.
Foundation even won the firm's business project of the
year award! However, as a brand-new Data and Innovation
department, we wanted more. We needed a way to achieve a
critical mass of valuable data quickly to accelerate the time
to value and the tie to firm strategy.
