An international AmLaw firm created a self-service experience platform to quickly address questions of subject matter expertise and professional experience. Their expertise search function draws on trusted internal data sources and a carefully crafted ranking algorithm to present a list of qualified experts, which users can then filter (by bar admissions, languages spoken, availability, and more) and compare side-by-side to pinpoint the most relevant experts with whom to collaborate. Within the same digital workspace, an experience dashboard facilitates the identification of the firm's experience across seven commonly requested fields. Sourced from live matter and docket data, the dashboard allows attorneys to instantly locate relevant firm experience and strategically staff matters. The experience platform has saved the firm thousands of emails and drastically reduced the time required to locate relevant knowledge and experience.
