97 I L T A N E T . O R G Speaking of Special Thanks… We are closing out 2021 strong because of the many efforts of the hundreds of ILTA volunteers that make ILTA, well ILTA. To the ILTA Program Planning Council (PPC), Content Coordinating Teams (CCTs), LegalSEC Summit Committee, Member Liaisons, Strategic Partner Liaisons, Women Who Lead Advisory Group, International Programming Team, and various projects teams – we thank you for continuing to dedicate your time and expertise to putting together quality content offered throughout 2021 to the ILTA community. To the Talent Council, thank you for guiding us through another successful election and for all the time and work you put in to ensure ILTA has strong leadership guiding the way. Thank you to the Knowledge Advisors (KAs) for being our eyes and ears on the cutting-edge trends in the industry, and to the Partner Advisory Council for helping steer partner offerings for the organization. Thank you to the Board for guiding the organization to begin to realize myILTA and to the many task forces that have conquered the initiatives laid before them. Last but not least, we give special thanks to the many volunteers who helped make ILTACON 2021 a huge success, whether it be through the many months of dedication from the ILTACON committee members, to the onsite and digital volunteers that helped ILTA during the event, we thank you for your efforts no matter how large or small – they made a significant impact for the organization. Our list is certainly not exhaustive as there are so many more volunteers we are thankful. For those not mentioned today, we thank you for all you do for the ILTA community and for all the great contributions still yet to come! #WeAreILTA because of you. Status Update: ILTA's Volunteer Structure As we give thanks for our current volunteers, we want to be sure to provide an update on some exciting changes on the way. In August 2021, the ILTA Volunteer Leadership Task Force (VLTF) proposed changes to ILTA's volunteer structure based on an initiative the ILTA Board assigned them in late 2020. The ILTA Board has been reviewing the robust proposal from the VLTF and has been working with the staff to develop actionable plans for the coming year. The VLTF and ILTA Board will be communicating changes to ILTA community members in the new year which will set ILTA up to be sustainable, nimble, and relevant in future volunteer opportunities within the organization. Keep an eye on your inbox for future communications! Thank you to the VLTF and to the many individuals who served on focus groups and shared their thoughts and ideas on this year-long project. We look forward to continuing to offer relevant and timely opportunities for individuals to grow their skills and make meaningful connections through the evolving structure. Samantha Surillo Director of Member & Volunteer Operations ILTA What is the ILTA Volunteer Structure Initiative? The ILTA Board adopted a new Strategic Plan to guide ILTA actions from 2021-2023, which introduced the concept of myILTA. To advance the myILTA goal, the Board asked the Volunteer Leadership Task Force (VLTF) to investigate, evaluate and, if needed, reimagine a volunteer structure that best supports myILTA.
