from the president As we begin to wrap up the first half of the year, I'm excited to share a few success stories. ILTA Leadership Transitions: Our officer roles are two-year terms, with new terms beginning after our annual week-long conference. This August is a transition year for several of our officers: skills of various roles to advance the delivery of legal services. Legal project managers, alternative fee/pricing professionals and attorney business analysts are just a few of the roles emerging from the combination of skill sets. If you have new roles emerging in your firm, we'd love to hear about them. There may be candidates in our readership with the perfect skills just waiting for the right opportunity to connect them. *American Association of Law Libraries, Association of Legal Administrators, International • Board of Directors: We just completed our biennial election cycle, transitioning two Board positions. Thanks to Dick Jensen and Eric Anderson for their years of service and contributions; they will continue to be a part of the ILTA member family, sharing their expertise as always. Stepping onto the Board are Kate Cain and Janet Day; we welcome them and look forward to their new ideas and thought leadership. You'll see information about the new Board and their respective roles in the months ahead. • Conference, Peer Group and Regional Vice Presidents: We'd like to thank our outgoing officers who end their service in August, and we'll celebrate these leaders during the annual conference. They have helped lead the organization through many changes and challenges, and their service is greatly appreciated. We are also excited to welcome the incoming officers who will bring ILTA through its next phase of success. Strategic Success: In March, we progressed another strategic goal by collaborating with several of our sister organizations (AALL, ALA, IPMA, LMA, LSSO and NALP*) at the C-Suite Summit. This event brought together various C-level law firm leaders to share ideas on how we can best collaborate to deliver even more effective client services. The event was a great success, and discussions have already begun for next year's event. Emerging Careers: We continue to see changing professional roles in law firms.
