With the resurgence of the Mullet, (well, at least
here in the South amongst the 16 to 30-year-
old young men), we decided to extend the 'achy
breaky' hairstyle to a more modern COVID style.
For 18 months now we have exchanged our wardrobe; gone are the suits, but
we've kept business on the top (for Zoom calls) … and who knows what many
of you have been wearing elsewhere, off camera. So, as part of our ILTACON
2021 spirit: there will be competition style at Thursday night's closing event.
Wear your BEST (can we even say best without laughing) Covid-era pajama
bottoms, slippers, whatever YOU wear most often during quarantine (as long
as they fit the public decency guidelines) Thursday night. I personally will be
wearing ducks all quacked up (and my staff is worried about this).
Thursday night isn't the only difference you will see as we gather,
together, once again.
Throughout the 2021 ILTACON conference, we will have many
opportunities for those attending digitally and those attending in
person, to network as a family. Whether you decide to take part in the Speed
Networking event or participate in a 'flocking' (birds of a feather), you will be
able to network with your peers in person as well as those attending digitally.
There are multiple ways to connect, multiple ways to network,
and multiple ways to have fun.
If you haven't noticed, the 2021 ILTACON session grid
came out recently and you can see more than 60 great sessions
with 175+ speakers. Additionally, at conference, our business
partners will have experts at their 'Ask the Expert' windows,
company updates (also live-streamed), and so much more!
2021 is not typical year; we're old hats at this. We know
Zoom, we know how to make those lasting online connections.
And while we may not all be able to be in the same room, at the
same venue, we will press-on and bridge the distance. ILTA
