CONCLUSION
The list of litigation support tools available is endless and although
there are staples, everyone has their favorite. Some tools are more
powerful than others for particular tasks. Attempt tasks in different
tools and be open to trying out new ones.
Having a manager or mentor willing to teach and share and even
provide you with your first toolkit is the best start. Sometimes, you'll
still have to get out there and do some digging to find the perfect tool
for your toolbox yourself and luckily, there are many resources out
there (see a short list at the end). Of course, the ILTA community
is by far the best resource out there – someone has undoubtedly
encountered the same problem at some point and time and the most
important thing about ILTAns, is their willingness to share. If you're
shy about posting a question or problem – don't be – but if you still
are – search the archives, recordings, whitepapers and all manner of
media are sure to be helpful and point you in the right direction. ILTA
