is the ability for AI systems to prioritize their own code and
program directives over new or conflicting instructions, while
discretion is the system's ability to prevent sharing unnecessary
information with users and system functions that don't need it.
AI can integrate into existing security apparatuses to ensure
that authorized team members have the right level of access to
any part of the system.
• Workplace Security: Staff and Visitor Accessibility - Many
workplaces experience an efficiency bottleneck when handling
security with individual security officers. These individuals
must cross-reference multiple forms of ID against official
access requests and authorizations that could come from any
department in the company. In shared offices, visitors must
pass through a single officer or security team to visit multiple
companies. This process delays the visitor and takes additional
time from the security team, preventing professionals from
performing more vital loss prevention functions and ensuring
the building's physical integrity. LG CNS has developed an
alternate way to address physical access by automating the
procedure, eliminating visitors' delays and allowing security
personnel to focus on higher-level tasks.
These are just a few of the areas in which automation and AI stand
to make an impact. As businesses incorporate AI in more capacities,
practical experience will quickly bring to light other avenues for
potential business transformation.
The area likely to see the most rapid expansion of AI to combat
significant industry losses is digital security.
Developing More Robust Security Solutions
Email scams remain a problem for businesses in every industry. These
security threats currently cost businesses more than half a billion

The late, great Shirley Chisholm said "If
they don't give you a seat at the table, bring
a folding chair." It is with this in mind that
ILTA Publications takes aim at boardroom

would you pull up to the table?
Joining the podcast today is Angela Dowd,

ILTA Board of Directors President and
continues to serve the current ILTA Board
as Treasurer. Today, she speaks with Beth
Anne Stuebe, Director of Publications

cycling and why adventure and tech so
readily mix. Join us, at the Table…
