are today. We configured BigHand for the BES server and found during our pilot phase that the carrier technology was lacking, making upload times very slow. In addition, carrier network coverage for our pilot group was not the best, which also affected our decision to move forward with this technology. As a result, we discontinued the use of BigHand for BlackBerry, but knew we would revisit this at a future date. Here we are in 2013. BlackBerry use has declined in our environment, and the use of iPhones has eclipsed the BlackBerry significantly. In addition, tools to manage iPhones have improved greatly and allow for proper security. The firm made the decision to revisit BigHand's offerings and evaluate the BigHand App for iPhone and BlackBerry. BigHand has enhanced their product to provide excellent functionality, with an easy-touse interface and options we need, such as live updates to dictation status, the ability to attach files to a dictation and the use of Bluetooth for nearly hands-free dictation. iPad 8:35 PM Add Time My Time Q W A E S Z R D X T F C Y G V U H B 123 The firm is now moving forward with the deployment of BigHand for iPhone to make work and life easier for the mobile attorney. The ease of use will be well-received, and the functionality will be a welcome option for our mobile attorneys.
