56 important to direct people to high-value work. Emerging skill sets are scarce and the talent market is tight, especially as it relates to technolo, automation and quality assurance-type jobs. Amazon announced an upskilling investment of $700 million to reskill 1/3 of its US workforce over the next six years. Keeping "Exchange alive" becomes very different in an Exchange Online world. Managing email/messaging content becomes a focus and that will only grow. Records management, data analysis and project management become more critical in an ever-growing more restrictive and regulated international world. It becomes necessary to look at the whole technolo organization of the future and map skills to it. A spike in cloud computing and AI is inevitable, but it also means a spike in improving that digital experience (i.e. UX Design, web development, etc.), business analysis, audio production for producing podcasts, and digital ads, and ensuring project success. We may find that the single most important skill will become managing outsourced providers. Here are the Hard skills that companies need most in 2019, according to LinkedIn: • cloud computing, data science/business analytics, training AI tools, UX/UI development, mobile apps and chatbots development, software testing Soft skills needed: • creativity, persuasion, collaboration, adaptability/ change management, project management People who recognize their current skills, predict future needs, and optimize themselves to fit in an ever-changing world are the most likely to succeed.
