Starting a new job can be fraught with uncertainty, but I must say I'm honored and humbled to serve such a great organization. There really is something special about the ILTA community. Thank you for making me feel so welcome! Enough about me -- on to that sneak peek into 2020! ILTA's Ascend Peer Weekend will be taking place in mid-January in the Mile High City -- Denver, Colorado. It's a privilege to help plan an event celebrating the hardworking ILTA volunteers. Each volunteer group will be hard at work developing key programming built on the foundation of ILTA's 2020 goals and key themes. March 2020 will bring ILTA's first multi-day event in Sao Paulo, Brasil! Watch for an announcement soon, but mark your calendars for March 25-27, 2020! Expect three days packed with learning about and solving your most pressing security challenges at the 8th LegalSEC Summit (sometimes with free tools!) If the top notch education offerings weren't enough of a draw, don't forget the new location! The San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter is just steps from the River Walk, the Alamo, and Market Square. ILTACON will be upon us before we know it. We'll be back at the Gaylord Opryland & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. If you won't be able to join us at LegalSEC, you can still experience a river walk - this one indoors! Don't forget your pedometer - the Gaylord Opryland has 9 acres of indoor gardens alone! ILTACON Europe 2019 hosted the most attendees ever, and we'll be building on that success for ILTACON Europe 2020. We're still finalizing the location and dates and will announce information soon. At the end of the year, one of my favorite things to do is write all my upcoming plans on my new calendar.
