In this environment, we are not stymied at stage 1. Rather, users are able to gain control over the data and are empowered to apply policy and solve problems related to IG, Compliance, Privacy & Security, GDPR and other privacy regulations—not only at incredibly efficient rates, but dynamically. As regulations change, the model is suited to enable change at a mass scale. And here's the kicker: the system can become more intelligent over time. As knowledge is driven into the system, the data can be optimized to be a driver of business strate and innovation. In a word, Nirvana— and as we look at the growing volumes of data and growing complexities of governing it, Nirvana will be the competitive differentiator. Conclusion There are many analogies one can draw regarding the failure to distinguish between innovation and pathways to obsolescence. Kodak is one of the most recognizable such stories.
