In a larger organization this might take the form of a "clearing house" review while a smaller organization might encourage cross-practice coordination among teams. Workstream 7: Know-who and Expertise Consider whether to include a regular program to educate employees on legal and commercial topics in your roadmap. » Advanced: The program has a powerful people search tool that is heavily used across the organization. » Intermediate: The program might have a reliable database used by some. Workstream 6: Legal Updates Legal updates refer to the methodology for providing updates on legal and commercial developments to employees. » Advanced: The program has processes in place to ensure key issues are identified proactively as well as a system for sending customized updates to all interested parties. » Intermediate: The program likely has some internal forums for sharing and discussion, with most individuals receiving at least some form of ad hoc legal updates. » Basic: The program likely makes some information on recent developments available. If legal updates are a priority for you: » Produce legal updates in the most efficient way possible, including from internal sources such as by capturing the content from group meetings and discussions, and from external sources via news aggregators, panel law firms and aendance at or involvement in events.
