With ever- growing regulations to consider, we continually look to marketing technologies to find ways to deliver and cater to clients to the best of our ability in the most efficient way possible. This year, many of your responses indicated a focus on improving existing technology, particularly CRM and websites. With COVID-19, most firms saw a large increase in the size and frequency of their email alerts, as we all scrambled to provide our clients and contacts with the most up-to-date news of the virus and its impact on every single type of business and industry. Consequently, the importance of clean data became more of a priority than ever before. Similarly, we all saw the significance of ensuring that our websites are fully accessible by all, as websites and microsites remain the major source of identifiable KPIs across the board. Many respondents mentioned the need to switch to a manageable way to connect remotely, and we observed how the role of marketing technology is growing across firms. It is because of these challenges and ongoing support of the community that ILTA presents the findings of the 2020 Martech Survey. We could not have put this together without the collective experience of our peers. The feedback from the community may not be surprising for some, but it helps us keep a "snapshot" in time. Year after year, this survey provides us with a benchmark to leverage when advocating for our firms; a data set that seeks to understand more about legal Martech and the ongoing concerns regarding data flow, and using the data we passively and actively collect.
