These meetings are for the employee - it's their opportunity to share, gain clarity and remain connected. Active listening skills are key here. It can be a powerful collaboration that supports collective success. Incentive Programs I am a firm believer in incentive programs that are aligned to cultural values and business objectives. Incentive programs can be brilliant and innovative, designed to drive and reward the behaviours and attitudes held by the organization. A well graded base salary combined with a well thought out attainable incentive plan will create excitement, increase engagement, and support a culture of increased accountability and contribution. If you are focussed on teamwork to drive results - consider an incentive plan that will drive the desired behaviour. Incentive programs instil confidence in the stability of the organization, connect us to the success of the business outcomes and demonstrate the importance of our role, contribution and represent possibility. Let's face it - in our industry human resources are our greatest asset, if we take the time proactively to identify and build a cohesive team you may be surprised at how much more can be achieved. I have found that a strong collaborative team with well defined processes that focus on iterative improvement, can outperform the largest teams. The question may not be how many staff I need in each role, but rather what momentum would we have if everyone shared and modelled strong core values, sitting on the right bus, in the right seat!
