As organizations try to find the competitive edge, it is becoming increasingly important to streamline the process. These actions do not happen overnight; the steps take time to develop and the work of many teams to be successful. Here we will highlight some common trends and helpful hints to keep your organization on track throughout the process. Mergers and acquisitions usually start at the top of the hierarchy when two or more organizational players express interest in other business locations or exposure in different sectors of the economy. This may happen if the organizations plan on expansion or if one of the organizations has financial constraints that may require the transition of services and people.
