A review of 2017 should tie neatly back to a detailed marketing plan that you have shared with the C-suite on a regular basis (at least quarterly) throughout the year. Doing so shows that the marketing team kept the focus on executing the plan. It tells them "we did what we said we would do." Base your success story on metrics: C-level executives want clear measurable results that match the company strategy. Set targets and report results on metrics that are important to your organization. These can include qualified lead counts, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, revenue per customer, and customer satisfaction levels. Stories reinforce your metrics. Use video, conference calls and in-person client visits to share their impressions of your brand, website or marketing content.
