Accessing Resources Across Platforms with Azure
Overview of the different AAD packages:
AAD Premium editions were designed to allow users to work
seamlessly between environments with few hurdles. It comes with
many advanced features such as:
» No limit on single sign on (SSO) apps per user.
» No object limit.
» Multi-factor authentication (both in cloud and on-premise).
» Security/usage reports.
» Cloud app discovery.
» On-premise write-back.
» Privileged identity management.
» Self-service password reset/change/unlock.
AAD Basic has similar features but with limits on the number of
apps and reports you can use.
» Limited to 10 apps per user for SSO.
» No advanced reporting and only three basic reports.
AAD Free is similar to AAD Basic but with further limitations.
» Up to 500,000 objects only.
» Limited to 10 apps per user for SSO.
» No advanced reporting and only three basic reports.
