11 WWW.ILTANET.ORG | ILTA WHITE PAPER OFFICE 365 Accessing Resources Across Platforms with Azure Overview of the different AAD packages: AAD Premium editions were designed to allow users to work seamlessly between environments with few hurdles. It comes with many advanced features such as: » No limit on single sign on (SSO) apps per user. » No object limit. » Multi-factor authentication (both in cloud and on-premise). » Security/usage reports. » Cloud app discovery. » On-premise write-back. » Privileged identity management. » Self-service password reset/change/unlock. AAD Basic has similar features but with limits on the number of apps and reports you can use. » Limited to 10 apps per user for SSO. » No advanced reporting and only three basic reports. AAD Free is similar to AAD Basic but with further limitations. » Up to 500,000 objects only. » Limited to 10 apps per user for SSO. » No advanced reporting and only three basic reports. Still not sure which version is best suited for your organization? I recommend contacting your Microso representative or third- party consultant to inquire about free consulting hours provided by Microso. Speaking from experience, it was great to have experts in this product come in, assess our environment and needs, then help us choose and set up our version of AAD correctly.
