If you've been on Facebook lately, you've probably received a request that says, "Hit Like if you remember what this is" alongside a picture of a car's foot-controlled high-beam switch or a telephone dial. These memes are interesting because, of course, no one uses them anymore. And why is that? It's because 8-track tapes are obsolete — there's newer technology that better fits how the world works today.
