If you've read my previous two
Windows Phone articles (March 2011 and
September 2013), you might recall I became
a Windows Phone (WP) evangelical before
anybody thought that was a good idea.
Actually, I am not sure anybody thinks it is
a good idea even today. Nonetheless, I was
quite happy with my WP7 and was the first
to tell people how much I appreciated the
native Microsoft Office and social media
integration while I lived in "a Microsoft world
by day and a Facebook world by night."
Well, something changed. In fact,
two things changed: my employment
status and my choice of phone. I took a
few months off work to focus on other life
priorities. Handing over my company WP
phone, I figured the time was right to give
something new a try, as I no longer would
live in a Microsoft world by day. Still not a
fan of iOS, I went for the Android Moto X.
Here is a brief look at my experiences
and key takeaways to date.
WHAT I MISS MOST ABOUT WP
• User Interface: The WP user interface
(UI) is simple, intuitive and pretty
to look at. It is easy to organize the
screen in a way that makes sense for
you. I find the Android much more
cluttered and complex to use, and I
am sure I do not take advantage of all
