subject: how are firms bringing iPhones
securely into their networks?
i'm wondering how firms are bringing iPhones securely into your networks
with the following criteria:
1) We cannot just have an open httPs rule incoming from any external
address to our oWa (activesync) server.
2) our end users cannot be asked to log in separately to establish
a connection to activesync. in other words, we want two-form
authentication, without having to manually enter credentials to log in (i.e.,
certificates)

We are testing the Juniper IVE SSL VPN product for this. It does the
authentication and then pass-through authentication for ActiveSync. It works,
but I am still tuning it. This was a concession for possible iPhone support.
There is probably a similar solution available using ISA sever, but I'm wary of an
end-to-end MS solution, and I don't want my OWA or ActiveSync sitting right
on the Internet.
