Capensys Without a doubt, the most exciting development is the goal-based training approach and its associated software. To overcome the perpetual challenges of classroom training wherein many of the attendees have very different business objectives, this software enables users to self-define what training they need based on who they are and what they do. Using this goal-based training approach, users select from a series of workflow statements relevant to their roles and then further refine how they personally undertake that work. Based on their answers, they are given a personal recommended learning path, specific to how they work. The workflow statements reflect the users’ business goals rather than function or feature, so the recommended training is totally relevant to what the user does. The recommended training can be any type, such as e-learning, workshop or one-on-one coaching. The overall effect is that a trainer’s workload is reduced, user satisfaction and knowledge retention is higher and the solution costs the firm less in training days, support and lost billable hours.
