Volunteer Leadership: Small Beginnings Lead to Big Rewards
ILTA’s Randi Mayes picked the brains of two top tier volunteer leaders to get their perspectives on the value of getting involved.
Scott Christensen
Scott Christensen is the Director of Information Services at Wildman, Harrold, Allen and Dixon LLP. He has served for the past five years on ILTA’s Board of Directors, and presently serves in the capacity of President of the association. Scott enjoys teaching occasional college courses in the areas of computer science and business management and has been a speaker at conferences including ILTA, ALA, and ARMA. Outside of work, he has served on boards of directors of other non-profit organizations with oversight over finance, personnel and governance matters. He can be reached at christensen@wildman.com.
Jim McCue
Jim McCue is the Information Systems Manager of Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin & Robb, a 70 attorney firm with offices in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has served in this position since 1990 and is on the management team at Rodey. Jim has a degree from the University of Iowa in Computer Science, with a minor in Business. Jim has served on the ILTA Board of Directors for the past five years, and in other volunteer roles from 2000-2005. He current serves as the Executive Vice President of ILTA.
