44 W ith cloud computing and ever-expanding digital footprints dominating most enterprise IT environments today, the issues encountered in digital forensics and ediscovery have changed dramatically. The widespread adoption of cloud data sources and workplace messaging applications has introduced new layers of complexity that have been compounding gradually for years. An increasing number of legal professionals are now contending with the magnitude of complexity, cost, and risk that can arise when cloud data is not identified correctly, preserved, and managed during legal disputes and investigations.
